12/7/90  No changes made to files, but note:
         in pmfont.c:
            on some systems the #include <string.h>
            needs to be         #include <strings.h>
            If I were a comparative C programmer instead
            of a linguist, I could probably tell you where
            each is current.  My dialect says string.  (My
            dialect is standard, of course).

            for some compilers, the main() declaration
            in line 81 which is now
               main(int argc,char *argv[])
            needs to be rewritten as:
               main(argc,argv)
                  int argc;
                  char *argv[];
            Or one can probably set a switch to enable to
            the ANSI form of declaration, but who wants to
            guess about which switches are honored where
